Sub Teams

Team 1629 is split into a variety of sub-teams.  Each Sub-Team is responsible for specific areas of team development, robot design and operations, competition, and local involvement.

Sub Teams include, but are not limited to:
Build Team
The Build Team is responsible for the actual build of the robot.  They must ensure it meets all the requirements of the year's competition (height, width, length, weight) as well as having the functionality needed to accomplish the tasks of the competition.
Drive Team
The Drive Team is responsible for developing any programming and circuitry needed to navigate the robot through the year's playing field.
Rules Team
The Rules Team is responsible for ensuring the Build Team and Drive Team do not break any rules in their design.  Furthermore, the Rules Team briefs all team members on the do's and dont's of the year's competition (and there are a lot of them).  The Rules Team members can easily be identified since they are the ones usually carrying the year's "bible" (all the rules printed and bound in a 3 ring binder).
Gracious Professionalism Team
The Gracious Professionalism Team is responsible for identifying teams that may need help and provide assistance as needed.  The Gracious Professionalism Team notifies all Team 1629 members of the identified team(s) so we can provide assistance as needed.
This purpose of the Fund Raising Team should be self explanatory.  However, rest assured that without this fundraising, Team 1629 does not exist!
Safety Team
This team is in charge of preventing and treating injuries to all members, mentors and fans. Safety is everyone's main priority!
